Tor Download Manager v0.2.0 – Release Notes
A major milestone
After several weeks of dedicated development and reorganization, we’re excited to announce the release of a new version of Tor Download Manager, following the roadmap we outlined to our community.
What’s new in this release
Qt5 to Qt6 Migration
We’ve successfully ported the entire codebase from Qt5 to Qt6. This modernization brings improved compatibility, better performance, and ensures the project stays aligned with current best practices in the Qt ecosystem.
Native Linux support via AppImage
Linux users can now download and run the latest version as a ready-to-use AppImage. Simply download, make executable, and run. No installation required!
Coming soon
Windows update
An updated Windows version is being finalized and will be published in the coming days. In the meantime, you can still download the previous Windows version.
Flatpak integration
We’re actively working on packaging Tor Download Manager for Flatpak, expanding accessibility for Linux users who prefer this distribution method. Stay tuned!
